Color Inspiration

Communication Arts, July/August 2009, Page 139

This composition was made by an illustrator, Gary Kelley, who created a series of images for a biography of Eleanor Roosevelt. It is a composition made of pastel on paper. This piece captured my attention through its old, dark, and gloomy tone. It's somewhat dull, but perhaps its meant to be taken seriously and describes how Eleanor Roosevelt viewed the place. I took a look at the rest of the series and found that they all contain this sort of color scheme. It really makes you wonder what type of life Eleanor Roosevelt lived.

Color Discord

Computer Arts, January 2012, Page 45 This composition shows Color Discord through its variety of color choices in their clothing. However, I do believe that this color discord still works in this piece. This was the cover for a fashion magazine that was designed to show the "future of fashion". It uses color discord to be bold in its message while pushing the boundaries of fashion.
